Hormel Foods is a US company founded in 1891, located in Austin, Minnesota, USA. It is a multinational producer and distributor of high quality branded food and meat products for consumers. It is the 295th among the top 500 US companies. It is also one of the top 50 companies in the North American and global meat industry. With 10,600 food products and more than 400 registered trademarks, it has become a famous independent pork processing company in the United States and the world's largest turkey producer. Hormel's products are exported to more than 60 countries on five continents and entered China in the 1990s, with joint ventures and meat processing plants in Shanghai and Beijing.
   In November 2014, American Homer signed a cooperation agreement with our district. In April 2015, the Hemel Jiaxing plant started construction, and the investment is the largest overseas production investment project of the American Hormel Group to date. Hormel established the China headquarters in the Jiaxing Economic Development Zone; in May 2017, the factory was officially put into operation.
