Abbott, the world's leading diversified healthcare company, invested $230 million in a private nutrition manufacturing plant in Jiaxing, Zhejiang on August 17, 2011. This is Abbott’s largest investment project in China to date. The plant was put into operation in 2013 and will be used to provide high-end nutritional products for infants and toddlers in China. It will be Abbott's first factory in China with fully automated spray drying, mixing and packaging facilities.
